How to Pay a Premium for an AIG Auto Policy

14 June, 2010

Be sure to pay your car insurance premiums on time to avoid late fees. AIG auto insurance, now known as 21st Century Insurance, offers several different ways for you to pay your premium, including an automatic bank withdrawal. If you don’t wish to set up the automatic transfer, pay by mail, online, in person or over the phone. Know that if the payment is postmarked by the due date but the payment has not been received by AIG yet, you will still be considered late.

Difficulty: Moderate Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Check, Debit or Credit Card
  • Policy number
  1. Step 1

Tear off the payment stub on the bottom of your paper bill and send it and a check to:

    Insurance Payment Processing Center
    PO Box 7247-0302
    Philadelphia, PA 19170-0302

If you don’t have the bill, you can write the policy number on the check instead.

  2. Step 2

Call 21st Century insurance at 877-310-5687 and ask to set up an ACH (automated clearing house) payment. You will need to give a bank account and the banking routing number (both are on the bottom of your check). Once you confirm the account and request the transfer, your account will have the monthly premium automatically withdrawn.

  3. Step 3

Call 877-310-5687 and use their interactive voice response system to pay over the phone. You will need a valid checking account, debit or credit card. The automated system will ask for your payment method and you will need to enter in personal information using the phone keypad.

  4. Step 4

Visit the AIG website and pay online. There are two methods: register your policy online and enroll in an auto-payment using an electronic check or credit card, or use Speed-pay to make a payment through Western Union. The auto-payment will require a checking account or a valid credit card to be entered online through their website. Speed-pay will charge you $3.25 for a one-time immediate payment (check or credit card is also required). For both, you will need to enter your name and policy number before proceeding to the secured payment page.
