  • The Ferrari F430 Spider was first introduced in 2005 and was designed to replace the 360 Modena. This luxury sports car retailed for around $192,484. There are two trim types produced in 2006, the Coupe and the Spider model. The Spider is the more expensive of the two and includes more standard features. The underside of the vehicle is designed to be flat, mimicking race cars. In addition, a large diffuser dominates the rear of the 430 Spider designed to eliminate the need for a rear wing and help create more downforce.

      Open the hood of the vehicle by pulling the hood release lever underneath the steering column. Prop the hood up with a tension bar, if necessary.

      Locate the oil dipstick in the engine cavity. Generally this is near the center of the engine by the radiator. Check the car’s manual for more precise location details. Pull out the dipstick and set it aside in a safe location.

      Place the plastic tube of the fluid pump into the dipstick tube. Lock the latch on the tube into the forward position.
